The first international meeting of the SAFAR project



On January 30-31 of this year, the first international project of the Erasmus+ program project "SAFAR - situational awareness training of firefighters within an immersive XR training site" took place at the Chemistry High School in Pardubice, Czech Republic. partners meeting. It was attended by members of the project implementation group of the Fire Fighters Training School.

The main goal of this project is to create a guide to help educators create and integrate XR applications (AR guides, remote assistance, digital twins) and 360° videos in the classroom and live training. It will provide relevant qualification models, technological instructions, tips and sample lesson plans.


Other project objectives:

• Enrich firefighter training with engaging technology solutions;

• Prepare firefighting and crisis management instructors for future training skills;

• Reduce the risk and costs of firefighter and crisis manager training;

• Increase the quality of situational awareness training programs.


Project partners: Saxon Environmental Protection and Education Society of Chemical Professionals (Germany), University of Žilina (Slovakia), Pardubice High School of Chemistry (Czech Republic), CSP Academy (Cyprus) and CrisisSim Company (Netherlands).

The duration of the project implementation is 3 years.

During the first meeting of international project partners, all partners presented the institutions they represented and expressed their expectations of project implementation and results. The main focus was on the discussions, which include the issues of the 2nd and 3rd work packages of the project. The representative of Cyprus presented the possibilities of programming VR glasses in this project.

During the visit, the activity, infrastructure, laboratories and teaching equipment of Pardubice High School of Chemistry were presented.

The project is financed and implemented with the funds of the European Union.
