The Fire Fighters Training School showcases profession with virtual reality at career fair in Kėdainiai
Representatives and specialists from the Fire Fighters Training School participated in the career fair in Kėdainiai. The school was represented by senior specialists from the Training Department, Internal Service Captains Agnė Žalalė and Darius Indrišionis, and Senior Specialist Jolita Zdanavičienė.
During the event, students had a unique opportunity to learn more about the firefighter-rescuer profession. Participants could experience a real evacuation mission or extinguish a car fire in a virtual environment using virtual reality (VR) glasses, presented as part of the SAFAR project. This technology provides a safe and highly realistic setting where students can experience the situations firefighters face in extreme conditions.
In addition to virtual reality experiences, students could try on real firefighter protective gear, learn about cadets’ daily life, and get detailed information about study programs and possible career paths.
The SAFAR project is an innovative training solution designed to develop practical skills and prepare students for real-life emergency situations. Virtual reality allows the safe simulation of rescue operations, improves decision-making skills, and gives students a better understanding of what it takes to be a firefighter-rescuer.
The career fair in Kėdainiai provided an excellent platform for young people to explore one of the most respected and trusted professions in society. The school’s representatives were pleased with the students’ enthusiasm and interest, and the event helped young people better understand the profession and consider choosing it as their future career.
