Evacuation mission in virtual reality

Representatives of the Firefighters’ Rescue School have created a new interactive evacuation mission scenario designed for virtual reality (VR) technology. This scenario allows future learners to safely gain practical experience with fire safety rules and the appropriate actions to take in case of a fire.

The main goal of the scenario is to help participants recognize evacuation route signs, understand their meaning, and learn to make correct decisions in stressful situations. Wearing VR goggles, participants enter a virtual school environment where they must safely evacuate the school building.

By following the signs and responding to the provided questions, participants receive further instructions that help them choose the safest evacuation route. The tasks are designed to teach learners to identify common hazards and avoid mistakes that could occur during a real evacuation.

The ultimate mission objective is to safely reach the assembly point, correctly assessing the situation and following the evacuation route signs.

This VR technology provides an engaging, immersive, and safe learning experience, while also allowing the school to use its educational resources more efficiently — exercises can be repeated unlimitedly and individually.
