The Fire and Rescue Training School took part in the “Career Fair” organized by the Jonava branch of the Lithuanian Students’ Union (LMS). This year, the event was held at the Jonava Sports Arena. The school was represented by senior specialists from the Training Department, Jolita Zdanavičienė and Darius Indrišionis, together with a group of cadets.

The Career Fair was held for the second time and brought together many students from Jonava who wanted to learn more about different professions and career opportunities. During the event, students had the chance to learn about the fire and rescue profession, the training programs offered by the school, as well as admission and study procedures. They also had an opportunity to see how modern technology is used in firefighter training.

A lot of attention was given to the virtual reality (VR) glasses presented as part of the SAFAR project. Using VR technology, students could experience realistic rescue situations and learn more about the daily work and challenges of firefighters. This innovative training method helps to develop practical skills and prepares future firefighters for real-life situations in a safe way.

School representatives talked to visitors about the firefighter-rescuer profession, which is highly trusted by society. They also introduced possible career paths and training opportunities. Such events help young people better understand the profession and may even inspire them to choose it as their future career.

The Career Fair is a great opportunity for students and future applicants to meet the Fire and Rescue Training School in person, learn more about its study programs, and see how traditional values are combined with modern technology in firefighter training.
