A highlight of the event was the virtual reality (VR) glasses, presented as part of the SAFAR project. Using VR technology, students could safely experience realistic rescue situations: putting out fires, saving people in complex scenarios, and seeing how decisions are made in emergencies. This innovative tool allows young people to understand the daily work of firefighters, try the profession in a practical way, and develop important skills even before starting formal training.

“Study and Career Day” in Panevėžys provided an excellent platform for students to learn about one of the most respected and trusted professions in Lithuania. The school’s representatives were pleased with the students’ enthusiasm and interest, and such events play an important role in helping young people choose their future career paths.

The event also demonstrated that the firefighter-rescuer profession is not just a job, but a mission one that today’s trainees prepare for using the latest modern technologies.
